Please join Cablex in welcoming, recently appointed, David Ryland to the position of Business Development / Account Management executive.
David Ryland
David is a seasoned Defence Industry veteran with a background spanning 43 years as both a serving member of the RAAF (20 Years) responsible for Fixed & Rotary Wing Aircraft Heavy Maintenance, Aircraft Modification Programs, Avionic Equipment Repair/Overhaul, operational level maintenance and servicing of the RAAF fleet of P3 Orion Aircraft and various Defence Industry roles including Product Delivery & Acceptance for delivery of engineering and support services for production and delivery of the Land400 Army Combat Reconnaissance (CRV) vehicles for the Australian Army and ILS Manager and on-site Field Service Representative (FSR) support, modification and maintenance on the MRH90 helicopter program.
David will be engaging with our Aerospace and Defence customers to grow our service offering in the areas of Electrical wiring systems and box build design, manufacturing, integration and on site support services
Great to see David Ryland joining the team. With 43 years across the RAAF and various defence projects especially his work on the P3 Orion fleet he brings a serious depth of practical experience to the role. Bringing on someone who understands complex technical systems from the inside out makes a lot of sense for high-spec engineering work. It reminds me a bit of How to write a strong thesis statement, where success comes down to establishing a clear, well-supported core direction early on rather than just listing capabilities. Will be interesting to see how his background in heavy maintenance and field support shapes their growth in the aerospace side of things moving forward.
